April 6, 2017-The tale of Tommaso the cat is a true rags-to-riches story! The stray black beauty was homeless on the streets of Rome when Maria Assunta, the widow of a successful real estate tycoon, took him in.
As her health began to fail Maria, who had no children, knew that she needed to find Tommaso someone who loved him as much as she did so she instructed her attorneys to find an animal welfare association who would look after him. When they were unable to find such a place with the right person, Maria left all of her money to Tommaso via her nurse Stefania who cared for her until the day she passed away. Stefania’s last name has never been disclosed in order to protect her identity, Tommaso’s identity and to foil any attempts at kidnapping or ransom orders.
She left her $133 million dollar fortune to her beloved kitty Tommaso when she died at the age of 94. The feline’s newfound riches include cash, as well as properties in Rome, Milan and land in Calabria.
I’m so glad Tommaso found a loving home with someone who wanted to give him the world!
March 22, 2017-WOW! This next cat is one of my favourite cats of all time. It’s funny because I thought that she would be way closer to the top of the list. You probably know her really well!
Number 4 on the list of The World’s Richest Cats is none other than GRUMPY CAT! YAY! Tardar Sauce is her real name, and her unique look is caused by feline dwarfism and an underbite. Her birthday is April 4, 2012, and she was born in Arizona. Grumpy cat is a viral sensation and an international superstar whose net worth is said to be around $100 million! That’s a lot of zeros! She’s been the star of her own movies and countless endorsements, has a sponsorship with Friskies and let’s not forget about the merchandise she loans her grumpy look to. I don’t know about you but I love her grumpy face and I absolutely LOVE Grumpy Cat. I’m glad to see her on the list!
This week’s Cat of the Week features Snowy! Thank you Squibbler5 for sending me this wonderful story about your beloved feline friend.
The Kitty Cat Clan and all of our readers and followers would like you to know that we hope your wife feels better soon and that her health continues to improve. Wishing her the very best, now and always.
Here’s Snowy’s story:
We have had Snowy for 7 years. We rescued her from a large litter of cats, for which she was the runt. We have given her a lot of love. She now lives in a house of 5 cats. She had an unknown illness, unbeknownst to us, as the vet told us. She is now a healthy active cat. She is part siamese but you wouldn’t know it. We went looking for a cat to help my wife through her illness. My wife has congestive heart failure and cardiomyopathy, so Snowy helped her immensely through this period.
