August 24, 2016-The next day while I was lounging in a sun puddle, there was a knock at the front gate. I perked up a bit and waited while the small, stupid human flung open the door. “Hi, please come in!” The small, stupid human chirped as she motioned for the stranger to come inside. They took a seat at the large table and the stranger shuffled some papers and handed them to her.
I glared at the stranger. “Thank you, here are my references as requested, I trust you will find everything is in order,” he said. “Great! I will contact them later tonight. Would you kindly tell me a little bit about yourself and why you would be a good fit for our family?” the small, stupid one said while she adjusted her glasses. “Of course,” the stranger said and he continued, “I am CPR certified, I have seven cats of my own and I absolutely love them. I studied veterinary medicine at the U of C and graduated at the top of my class.”
I for one was not impressed and was quite sure that anyone with half a brain could accomplish those things. There was something off about this stranger…something that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. I hoped that the small, stupid human wasn’t actually stupid enough to believe him.
As the stranger stood up and shook hands with the small, stupid one I noticed something, he had a star tattoo on his right hand.I had seen the tattoo before but on a different man…that man was Henri.
